ATL - SMF

Just flew STL - ATL - SMF.

STL - ATL was typical 18 of 18 for 3 seats.

ATL - SMF was 9 of 9 for 13 seats. Being a 757 helped. Guess there weren't many medallions wanting to go to Sacramento on a Wednesday night.

With that many empty seats- didn't clear until the gate still right?

Delta 4695 PHX-LAX-PDX

Myself and the wife are both MVPs, upgraded at check in counter. Flight left with one empty seat in F.

This flight had one flight number but we changed gates and aircraft in LAX. Will we accrue miles based on the PHX-PDX distance or PHX-LAX-PDX?

If both segments share the same flight number, you will only receive credit for PHX-PDX. It doesn't matter that you transited LAX or even that you changed planes.

^^

someone was talking about a unicorn sighting before...? this might be it. and the aforementioned ATL-SMF

hoping Mrs PV_ gets upgraded on 2 of her 3 flights on Thursday (SMF-SLC and ATL-GNV), i'm assuming SLC-ATL is a non-starter.

I assume you were upgraded at the gate (or were in paid F)?

I was in paid F.

It was the holiday effect. No gate upgrades, No non-rev, 30-40% load in Y. No one bought the 5 remaining seats due to all the room in Y (thats what i overheard during boarding). FA commented that normally he has a hard time clearing standby as the flight is always full, which makes sense as it was a hub to focus city flight

Still 7 hours until the flight leaves...

18 of 18 for 3 seats on DEN - SLC.
24 of 24 for 4 seats on SLC - BOI.

I figured BOI should have been easier.

This is quite a valuable perk!

And at 10 minutes prior to boarding....

21 of 21 for 2 seats, DEN-SLC.
28 of 29 for 4 seats, SLC-BOI.
