slimline = more seats

Six seats will be added to the airline's 737-800s and nine seats to its 737-900s.

big investment but over time imagine how much will be saved by losing the weight of those heavy digi players

I do wonder how this will affect pitch, especially in the exit rows. I would hope that we don't end up with less leg room, a la the middle and aisle seats on the -700's.

I know that they claim the slimmer design allows for more seats. How are the Recaro seats and legroom? I've only sat in F on the planes that had them.

Are these the same as Southwest's devolve seats?

For me at least, Wi-Fi is nice but I value in-seat AC power more.

Right on, Alaska! ^^

For me, one can't really go without the other. As my extra-capacity battery has aged on my year-old laptop, I can just about make it one transcon flight on a single charge. If I'm connecting (which I usually am, and usually without enough time to charge up), I can basically plan on a dead battery on the second flight. Power is necessary for me to keep productive and working while on the go.

I applaud Alaska's effort at introducing these new features to enhance their products over the coming years. Now if they could just figure out how I might find enough space on the tray table to put my laptop on it, to actually take advantage of the new power ports.

That is the bad part of the release... They will not be adding an extra legroom section in Y for awhile.

Ugh those seats in Y didn't seem very nice when I tried them out briefly

F ones are ^

Power is ^

Now what will be the cost of this streaming media? Sounds like 75K's might be losing a perk...

What perk would 75Ks be losing, and why? I'm confused by your post - can you elaborate?
