OLCI on BA codeshare

Flying LCY-ZRH-TXL on an AB ticket; the first leg is a codeshare op by BA. At T-22 hours, OLCI on the AB site says 'check in with BA'; BA says 'too early for OLCI'. Any wisdom?

[A few hours later AB and BA both said 'check in with operating carrier'. Since I was near LCY I went there, and even the on-site ticketing machines wanted nothing to do with me. Strictly the human.

And by then my fellow traveler and I were issued seats nowhere near one another on the flight.

Next time I'll definitely be willing to spend a bit more to NOT fly an AB codeshare. (Or perhaps to not fly AB at all - 'cheap' apparently does come at a price.)]

OLCI on BA codeshare

The problem is that it is codeshare, not because it is AB.
