NZ90 Diverts into BNE

Greetings everyone, probably not the right place to ask but I am just curious to see if anyone knows why NZ90 NRT/AKL diverted into BNE this morning ??????

I have checked thenzsource.com and it just says it diverted - nothing else.

Thanks so much

While I have no inside knowledge the fact it was only on the ground for a short time would tend to indicate a medical divert.

I have no inside knowledge either.

FR24 playback shows a Southerly (towards BNE) heading shortly after take-off instead of the usual NZ90 South Easterly (AKL) heading.

Thanks guys for your replies, I am now informed it was for a bereavement for one of the tech crew and they had to be replaced in BNE - thanks so much to you all

How on earth did you find that out?

I saw an NZ tail in a hangar in SIN today and figured it was something normalish rather than an event. Pure guessing of course. No idea where to confirm that stuff.

Think the one in Singapore is there for maintenance, one did a NZ6xxx the other day if I recall correctly.

NZ does some maintenance at SIN but also has frequent charters for Singapore military.

The ADF chartered Air Tahiti A340s for regular flights to the Middle East. Pretty common stuff.
