Elite - seat select economy transtasman
Hi I'm Elite and Koru and booked a cheap fare Auckland to Melbourne return over labour weekend.
Have put in for APD upgrades but in the meantime want to select some good seats in peasant class. They want to charge me for Preferred seat or Economy Exit Row.
Am I mistaken that accessing these seats for free used to be a Gold perk? Has it changed recently?

Elite/Gold/Koru and *G can select "Frequent Flyer" seating (in Yellow) for free, but Preferred (Pink) and Exit Row (Orange-ish) seats always have been pay extra.
Those seats are available for free to Elite/Gold/Koru and *G at T-48h (2 days) before flight, if they are still available of course.
