Bacon roll still ex-AKL to North America / Sin and back from Singapore.
Ex-North America to AKL "experimenting with different types of comfort food based on feedback from our North American customers who have repeatedly asked for variations". Not about cost cutting and "a more expensive product to deliver"

This was on NZ3 LAX-AKL just a few weeks ago.
Listed as "Warm bacon and cheese bagel" on the menu, however I am pretty sure it isn't a bagel, at least nothing like bagel's I've had many times in my life.
It was warm, soft (not doughy at all) and gone within 60 seconds. Couldn't taste/detect any cheese in it. The on-board chef? (the guy wearing a chef's jacket and not the flight-attendant outfit) was very interested to know what my opinion of it was, and seemed really proud with what he served.
No complaints from me on this occasion!
