On my Airnz my pre-selected seat has now disappeared and I can't select a seat
Does my old seat automatically reappear or will I have to wait till checking?

As the seat layout is now very different for economy and premium economy it's going to have to be different allocations for a lot of customers.

You should be able to request a seat now. Seat select is available for dummy bookings so I would assume you can select a seat too. If not online give NZ a call. It looks like there are still some PE seats available to select, 27A-27B, 25F-25G.

I am on NZ80 HKG to AKL on Friday 29th August, I see seat select is now showing the new Cabin layout for the 772.
Seat select originally showed the old layout, then disappeared completely for three days, now its back its showing the new layout.
I am in PE so will do a long haul review on the seat when I return. I have selected a window as its only two abreast. Don't like the idea of being 4 across even in PE.
Pity I am in the old PE seat on the way up!

ZK-OKA completed another test flight as NZ6500 today from AKL-AKL flying all the way down to Stewart Island and back to Auckland, with a total flight time of 3 hours 20 mins. Looks like it is the last test flight in preparation for its first commercial flight after being rifted, as NZ135 AKL-BNE tomorrow.

Flew on NZ136 today
They had a couple of airnz technicians onboard fixing small glitches
Not that I experienced any problems The flight went well .
(Pretty well full in both PE and from what I could see in BP (they dud not close the curtains) economy I estimate about 40 vacant seats
The new PE seats are very comfortable with the variable feet support and comfortable seat / body support
(Quite different feet support from the space seats which have bean bags)
For a couple the seating is a lot more cozy than the space seats
I like the new single plug in headset sockets ...no flickering
The inflight entertainment system is very snappy and did not freeze.
(No movies for the people who buy seat only unlike the old 777's)

Hi and I our flight today was the new fitout and the staff were very proud of their new livery and the pilot made a few announcements about this.
Sadly, I wasnt able to get onboard before the swarm as both J and Y was allowed to board at the same time but I was able to get a few pics of PE and a quick sit down.
Overall, I like PE very much. As long as we would get the two seats on the side. I thought it had lots of leg room. I was impressed by how thin the new seats in Y are but didnt get to sit in them. For a 3hr jaunt across the ditch I think its OK but for a medium or long haul, I still think 10 across is a squeeze but when discussing this with the FA's, they talked about the new slimline design so aisle size wasnt lost.
On board was 2 IFE support who were testing the system and answering FA questions.
The flight itself. I thought we were overwhelmed with older male FAs. Where were all the women? All classes boarded at the same time. Boo. Curtains were not put in place after take off.
Hopefully pics work.
IFE Support
J:
PE: Im 5.10" and a big gal and thought there was a good amount of leg room and could easily walk through the row.
Sorry, bad photos of Y.
Cute toilet wall decoration.
Disgusting pax of the flight goes to the ahole that left poop on the wall. When I pointed this out to the poor FA, he had to glove up.
Hopefully this link works. The only issue I found with the IFE and it stopped doing this after take off and one of the techs told me it was a program issue and its being looked at.

Overall the staff seemed very excited about their new toy and when we asked a few questions on boarding, they were happy to discuss.
