That's good, because that's the one you're going to be seeing more of, according to Australian Business Traveller -- the mostly-black one is for a few special planes while most of them will be mostly-white. My understanding is that this is for dull practical reasons -- the black paintjobs age badly and need to be repainted more often. There's a good reason you don't see dark-coloured planes very often
Anyway, I think this looks great! I saw a mockup last year which simply had the existing tail with the blue-green replaced by black, and it looked incredibly dull, but the addition of the fern makes a huge difference to the overall effect. I won't miss the blue-green at all.
This looks good on the 787 as pictured, and I think it'll look good on the smaller planes as well as on 777s. Not sure how it'll look on the 747s, perhaps a bit ungainly and off-balance as the black tail won't visually balance the big white hump, but I guess they're due for retirement soon anyway
