Does anyone know what proportion of Pacific Blue capacity is dedicated to the Tasman ? I wonder what would happen if DJ decided to absorb most of the Pac Blue aircraft into their Aussie domestic network leaving just a few aircraft for the Australia-Bali/Pacific island routes .

I suspect that the ACCC decision may end up reducing competition whether they like it or not if they end up inadvertently forcing DJ off the Tasman. I guess it depends how badly DJ want a tie up with NZ versus how much they want their own metal on the Tasman routes

Hmm. Could be marketed as Seat minus. A great addition to the choices available I'd say.

Airbridge clips wing of Air NZ plane

http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/4147...f-Air-NZ-plane.

The heavy snowfall in Southland has caused problems at Invercargill Airport where an airbridge clipped the wing of an Air New Zealand plane.

The incident happened yesterday morning when snow was thick on the ground, Air New Zealand spokesperson Marie Hosking said.

ATR doesn't use an airbridge, and I don't think IVC has any. I guess they mean the stairs.

Well HLZ used to use an airbridge for the ATR when they had that before the last rebuild.
I agree even when IVC had the airbridge, which was still removed when I was there 6 months ago, I never saw the it being used for the ATR.

Every time I've diverted there in 737 (due to ZQN weather) we've used stairs.
