I also noticed that some destinations (eg Aberdeen) are listed at 7500 miles. And there is availability for 7500 miles..but not from everywhere. Eg from IST Aberdeen is available as Promo award..but for 11K miles on KLM.
Which seems to imply that there is some form of flexible pricing going on on the Promo awards. Does "Europe" not equal "Europe 123" any more?

Well that's because Europe - IST (and vv) is priced at 11.250 miles. In that case your award doesn't fall into Europe - Aberdeen but Europe - IST.

Otherwise "Europe - Aberdeen" should be read as "Europe except cities mentioned elsewhere - Aberdeen".

Sorry I had not seen that. I would guess that it might be a typo as all other promoawards (including the KL "Europe specials") are only bookable from 1/3?

I must say I am a bit miffed that there don't seem to be any flights offered for July yet. I am waiting for flights in premium cabins Europe - North America. Does anybody have any idea when / if that might happen?

too early for july, they should post promo awards for july in 1 or 2 months. But do not have any hope IMHO for a promo award in J to N.A in summer. Those have became pretty rare and often limited to secondary Chinese cities (Wuhan, Xiamen), or for N.A. in winter only. But who knows...you might be lucky.
