Booking 2 separate AF tickets for one journey: Will AF help if inbound is late?

Looking to book an AF ticket SEA-TLS. The fair is cheaper by about $100 a ticket to book AF RT SEA-CDG ( actually Delta metal) and then book a separate AF CDG-TLS.

If the inbound plane is late will AF help with the rebook for the connection or is it safer to pay the additional $100 in fare so it is all booked on one ticket?

Thanks.

You would be relying on agent willingness to help in that case;
$100 is really not worth the hassle.

Another vote in favor of one ticket. No brainer.
