Seat selection on short haul via the "manage my booking" is available only until 30-48 hours before the flight, not sure exactly when is the cut off time. Then from 30 hours before, you can select/change seat via the check-in process. When is your flight to DUS?

Probably an aircraft change. It happens to me every time there is one. Sometimes the new seat map shows on the KL website before the AF one.
