VAT refund customs office at CDG 2E and 2F

I will be travelling from AMS via CDG to DEL next week where I live. I have bought some stuff during my visit to EU and want a stamp by customs office when leaving EU (last point will be CDG) I have a lay-overat CDG for 2 hours. Where do I find the customs desk/detaxe office at Terminal 2E? Is it close to the gates in the transit area (airside) or is it outside (landside?) Will I be left with enough time?
Thoughts and experience are much appreciated.

Unless I remember incorrectly, you should do VAT formalities in AMS if you are travelling on one single ticket

IIRC it's land side at CDG T2 and often has lines.

Yes, it's landside and the lines can be very long and slow moving.

Isn't PABLO a French thing? "Un système unique en Europe" says the French customs website.

In any case, if goods are checked in, you must do export formalities from the airport where you start your trip (in the case of the OP AMS).

If in hand luggage, I doubt the PABLO machines can be used (unless the goods are bought in France).

Anyone with experience?
