Some CDG-LAX flights will use a 388 starting June 1st 2012.

I have a flight scheduled for September 2012, friends June 2012 CDG to LAX In the last few days the equipment went from a 777-300 to a 388.

Not sure I'm happy about this although we are flying Affaires.

AF from 30MAY12 begins A380 service to Los Angeles Daily on AF066/065 service.

From 25MAR12, CDG LAX Reduces to 15 weekly instead of 20 for Summer season.

The change was made today (27OCT11) cause it was still showing 20 weekly 77W/772 on the 26th.

Yes, actually, it is on May 30, 2012. It will operating A380 CDG-LAX. What time the A380 is arrived in LAX? Is that 1 or 2pm?

Actually, it's starting from 28MAY12, not 30th. That was the typo on my side on this forum.

A380 is operating out of TBIT at LAX, instead of T2.

I'm happy about this. LAX is my most common AF long haul destination and biz class seems to be a bit nicer on the AF A380 as opposed to a B777 or A340 . Entirely subjective of course.

I also hope that the extra amount of business class seats on the AF A380 will mean better chances for Z fares.

I'm not sure, I think there's a lounge shared by Skyteam members at TBIT. (I never really pay attention to the lounge except taking picture of the signs)

What do you mean? It should be easier to use miles with all that extra inventory.

So far every airline has made a big deal when they introduced 388
and it's always impossible to book a reward flight on it.
Very few success storied reported so far.
I was able to book AF LAX-CDG flights quite regularly, I'm just
worried this option will be gone, at least temporarily...

AF introduced the A380 a long time ago. This will be like their 6th or 7th whale. I imagine the first week or two of service might be well sold, but after that it should be normal.

Also, it should be mentioned that AF and LH compete strongly with each other on these things, so I bet that LH will run an A380 to LAX as soon as they can.

The available " O " class awards on the day I was watching ( mid- Sept 2012) on the CDG to LAX jumped from a usual 5 loaded to 9 when it switched from the 777 to the 380.

Scheduled to fly the A380 CDG-LAX nonstop in business. Wondering if anyone has tried this product (as opposed to their awful 747 business?)
