T1 YYZ duct tape
Have noticed a lot of duct tape on the seams or joints in the new T1.There appears to be a settling and or gaps where these joints are. Some are so bad that there is carpet over them.I noticed these in a lot of different locations within the terminal. These are in the walkways in the terminal at checkin and in departure areas.
Anyone have an idea whats going on?(my thoughts could be concrete shrinkage, settlement of building)

If it's broken, it just means that there isn't enough duct tape.
And, do you know the origin of duct tape? It was actually called duck tape during WWII by a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson - it was named "duck" tape since it could repel water so well.
Over time, it acquired many civilian uses (notably, duct work), and the duck name seemed strange, and so it began being called duct tape more regularly. But, it is in fact duck tape.
Just remember that the next time you walk over a cruddy piece of duck tape in YYZ...

Considering the Golden Horseshoe is the home of RedGreen and the Possum Lodge, and thus the unofficial world HQ for ducktape, it would be thoroughly appropriate for our gateway airport to feature the stuff prominently.
As for the utlimate liability for faulty construction, it would be up to the contractor to cover the cost of replacement for faulty workmanship, as this now seems to be. It would have little effect on landing fees and charges at YYZ. If the story is accurate, then the GTAA would have full claim to having this work done at no charge to it. The contractor clearly breached the terms of any warranty with its suppliers, and now must "face the music".
