An RPU is easily available on coupon connection, especially this time of the year. In January, people practically give them away.

I just tried 3 different sets of dates: 2 in November and 1 in december and all returned with a message that no flights exist
So I clicked link to Timetable/Flight Schedules, entered YVR to KOa, picked Dec 21-28 and guess what....routing is Rouge to LAX and then UA to KOA

Do what I did: book it on WS, pay the extra few bucks for exit row seats, take the afternoon flight home thus avoiding the AC redeye, and pay for the whole works, including taxes and fees, with Avion points.
No brainer.
BTW, I noticed the other day WS is running 3 flights a day from YVR-OGG in January, two of which are daytime returns. Not sure when that schedule begins and ends.

I decided to pop down to Hawaii next weekend to do some running. So I logged onto AC today and the price was something like $1300. I then logged onto WestJet and purchased my ticket for $560. Almost the same times and connections.
No rogue and big savings.

AC 49/50 YVR/KOA is Saturday only and is mainline 763. This route is usually well supported and it appears the 20 December flight is not available due to overbooking.
