Far far better to use the stay 2 get 8000 points promo with Choice. 8000 CP points will get you a 200-300$ night in Paris or London. 1000 AE points will give you...
(On a side note, 5000 points can be converted into 1000 AE points...)
Only time you can use this promo is for 1 night stays at Econolodge and Rodeway Inn (which don't count for Choice's promo)
