ESSO Promo - 2X AEROPLAN (2013 Apr 2 to 2013 May 27)

Just fill up at ESSO and notice this 2X AEROPLAN promo. I definitely remember it is starting today (Apr 2) and I think it said it is ending May 7.. But it is a Tuesday, so it is kind of strange. Will update the post if I made an error.

It is to May 27th, here is the link from AEROPLAN web site with the detail for this promo:

Does this have any bearing on anybody's purchase decisions or account balances? So you get 50 instead of 25 Aeroplan miles for a tank of gas. Big deal.

Nothing is worth putting Esso's bad premium gas in my car.

I have been getting triple miles all month using esso supreme gas. I am buying gas anyway, so I choose esso for a few miles. Might be 1000 miles a year, every little bit helps.

I have read many don't bother, but like a leaky facet, it does add up. As I am not rich I grab what ever points I can, it does add up and with us, two cars, lots of travel, it pays. we use speedpass so its quick and easy and I even get discounts on my gas.

we got to know the young man at our local esso so when people come in with cash and no card he uses my card and I get the extra points. Esso does monitor the frequency and staff cant use AP cards.

I use speedpass so no card out of wallet for me.

The promo offers 6x for Premium, so if I buy $60 premium that's 120 miles for the promo plus 90 if you are using CIBC card with 50% bonus. So 210 miles for that tank of gas.

I have to buy gas anyway, so..may as well get something out of it.

Esso Regular—instead of 1 mile per $3 spent, now earn 2 miles per $3 spent
Esso Extra—instead of 2 miles per $3 spent, now earn 4 miles per $3 spent
Esso Supreme—instead of 3 miles per $3 spent, now earn 6 miles per $3 spent
Hurry—the best time to fill up on gas is now!

UNTIL MAY 27, 2013, ON

The price differential buying at Costco is way higher than the value of Essos Aeroplan program even AFTER double miles. When they are not running double miles it's a total joke.

It should be 1 AP / $1, regular. Not 1 / $3.
