It's issued by Bank of America (since they took over MBNA in the US, which used to issue them). However, for some reason, still not available online through BoFA's main credit card website. Try calling Bofa for details.

I've never seen good offers on this card. And oh, the link off of the AP website to apply doesn't work. I think its $60 per year, though it may have changed. Dismal compared to the offers given on US-based FF cards.

I got it in 2005 and then canx in 2007. I reapplied in 2009 and am cancelling soon. I will wait 6 mos. and then reapply. I've never seen more than a 15000 mile bonus.
BofA will also offer you 3 percent back with some companies. I use it for Barnes and Noble a lot. Its an average to good card overall.

I think Amex Gold in US can transfer points to Aeroplan if cardholder chooses..
Not a US based solely AE card, but I guess there is a choice..

Just got one of those. 15K points signup bonus, 3x points on airfare, first year free. And if I ever get top status on another airline, I can move my points there instead of having them locked to aeroplan.

Some choices on transfer actually devalues the points that I noticed with Canx Gold 25%.. so choose the transfers wisely.

Thanks for the heads up. Tried to look it up in the Terms and Conditions doc and found a disconcerting amount of legal language in essence saying they can determine and change their mind on transfer ratios at their discretion.
