How Does the New Seat Compare to Club World

All,
I would really like to hear about your experiences with the new J seat. I am planning a trip and wasn't sure if I should fly EI J or BA Club World. Have any of you tried both. I am in San Francisco, so BA would be the A380 to LHR. Thanks!

I think the new J seats are terrific! Also, the food was vastly improved over the last time I flew EI business class. (2 years ago)

I had 1A, and the lavatory was no issue... its not right in front of the seat, there is a large galley at the front of the plane and the lavatory is past that.

If you are traveling alone 2A or 4A would be a better choice. A seats are staggered and the even number ones are slightly more secluded.

Just booked this for a trip to NYC in August, really looking forward to it. Doing Club World in October so will be interesting to compare the two - I expect that the Aer Lingus seats will spoil me, especially as I managed to get the "Captain Kirk" seats for both legs! Arrivals lounge will be useful too.

I have booked a captain kirk seat too. Can you close these up?

Also slightly nervous as I am going to be 19 then and not sure how cabin crew and other passengers will react..

??? huh, They will treat you like any other passenger. Crew do not discrimination based on age, appearance, clothes etc. Other pax will mind their own business. Unless of course you are obnoxious or causing trouble.

I thought that perhaps people would not like a person of my age to be in there.

don't see what the problem is, you've paid your money like everyone else and are entitled to be there.

One of the beautiful things you will learn as you grow older is that people are likely not paying as much attention to you as you once thought they do.
It's really one of the glories of ageing!
