AC Codeshare Flight On A3 Metal
Tried finding the information in the forum but had no luck. I am looking at flying YYC to ATH via LHR. The A3 flight from LHR to ATH would be sold at an AC flight number on A3 metal. Will this count as one of my required 4 legs on A3 to maintain my tier or am I out of luck? M&B just says that I have to be on an A3 flight which I would be but its not their flight number. Thanks.

Up to now, A3 metal flights have counted irrespective of flight number. Now we don't see many reports on this given most people will qualify on prime A3 numbers, but there's nothing to suggest you'll be anything other than happy here.

This does count. A3 go by who operates the aircraft ie: them and not by the flight number. So LH flight operated by A3 counts. AC flight number operated by A3 counts and so on.... I have personal experience of this and credited fine on more then one time.

Thanks for the information. I thought I would get credit but wanted to make sure as we are planning our vacation. I would hate to go to Greece and end up leaving one A3 flight short because of the codeshare and not keep my status.

Hi all, now in exactly the same situation as the OP (A3 metal flight on an AC flight code from LHR-ATH and wondering whether this will count for one of my 4 required flights for gold. Given that this thread is now nearly 5 years old and there was no post-trip confirmation from the OP, wondering whether anyone can confirm whether this should still post and count as one of my required 4 flights in 2022? Thanks very much!
