A3 flight delayed by passenger getting off just before take-off
Here's a weird one (in Greek, pass it through Google translate if needed):
https://www.alfavita.gr/arthron/koin...fos-tis-aegean
In a nutshell, a passenger on board flight A3 905 (LCA-ATH?) asked to get off claiming he forgot his passport. The rest of the passengers then complained that this constituted a security breach, and they refused to fly. After everyone deplaned and a security check revealed nothing, the flight took off.
Apparently the passenger in question lied about forgetting his passport, having instead left his laptop at the departure lounge.

What an idiot. They should bill the passenger the full cost of the delay. I know that on some airlines that have to return to gate and offload a passenger a security search is done around the area that a passenger has occupied once they have left the aircraft. It happened to a guy behind me once on a flight to BEY.

Quick translation for those who would appreciate it:
According to information from thestival.gr, shortly before the departure of an Aegean flight, and when the engines of the aircraft had already been set in motion, one of the passengers sought to disembark from the plane, because he had forgotten some personal item.
As thestival.gr relates, the pilot of the flight allowed the passenger to disembark from the plane and then closed the door in order to take off.
This provoked a reaction from several of the remaining passengers, who cited reasons of security. "We don't know what this passenger who deplaned left behind on the aircraft. We do not want to travel," said one of the other passengers, and he sought permission to exit.
The airplane was kept isolated until a short while ago.
After a security check, the passengers returned and the aircraft set out on its trip to Athens.
According to the information from thestival.gr, which was confirmed by the police force of the Cypriot airport, the passenger who disembarked falsely claimed that he forgot his passport.
The real reason that he deplaned was because he had forgotten his laptop in the departure hall. Aegean did not permit him to reboard the plane.
