This hotel works for business travellers due to its central location and affordable price. Parking is free which is nice. The Ibis Bencoolen which is a few blocks away charges more for the dates I stayed. Excellent location, with food outlets abound, not loving the rooms like most. Had a loft room. Space is tight, doesn't provide a luggage stand, so one has to place it on the sofa-bed or on the floor taking up the foot space.
It will be a good stay if you can put up with small rooms. I was alone so it worked fine. Would be tight for couples and gulp! families.

Yups. Auntie Doris is super friendly. Same goes as lounge staff. not sure about front desk.
i was there 2 weeks ago. Oh my. The drawer had hair of previous guests and some old key card holder. Had to ask for housekeeping to look into the cleaning again.
lovely property if you choose the right rooms. Thanks

The reply from the EAM was hilarious saying I knew where all the larger rooms were at.

May I ask, room 1431 and 1409. Is the room layout similar to 611/511 where the toilet is separate or still at the entrance. I have booked my staycation for this weekend. I requested room 611/511 but gave the alternative rooms as 1431/1409.

No. Only the 6/5-11 are the corner rooms. 1431 and 1409 looked simply to be larger loft rooms - I also cant confirm the location of the toilet there.
So if you get one of those, please share pictures.
