Question 2000 Le club point is it really value 40 Euro ?

When i try to book and discount with 2000 le club point.
Lowest rate are not eligible for use le club point.
Only flexible rate or more expensive rate are eligible for use le club point.
IMO 2000 le club point is not value as same as they promote.

well, no matter which rate you get 40 euros off from, you still get 40 euros off

I was trying to make use of the points. It seems there is no way to control on how much block of 2,000 points I want to use. Accor will apply the max 2,000 block to be used. For example is the rate is EUR 85, it will use 4,000 points (EUR 80). I cannot choose only to use 2,000 points (EUR 40).

Am I correct?

yes, let's say that you have 10 x 2000 points, then, it will use everything

you cannot choose to use only 8 x 2000 and keep 2 x 2000

For example
room rate
-Prepaid rate = 100 EU
-Flex rate = 130 EU

But prepaid rate can't use le club point for discount.
After apply discount = 90 EU.
If it really value 40 EU it must use in all booking rate

That is not correct many prepaid rates allow the use of points, however you must give them away during the reservation process. I just checked and I can spend points on hot deal rates and also stay long save more rates.

To do the above do not credit your points into a voucher as that can only be used in the hotel.

a) Member needs to be logged in to use points for prepaid rates;

b) Not all lowest rates do allow the use of points, thus member does have to incur in additional expenses to use the accrued points.

c) enzo0511, If lowest rate with breakfast is 100 Euros and the cheapest rates where points can be redeemed is 130E, sometimes 150 Euros, then there is no savings, quite the opposite - additional costs with room and additional costs with breakfast.

Ic. They should allow some flexibility of how many block we want to use to offset the rate, IMHO

just a day before they expire, convert them into an Accor voucher (it's valid for a year)

or to a partner voucher or into air miles

You need to accrue more points / stay at a property; New points and all the points in the account are valid for one more year...
