VASP, Brazil - earn miles?

VASP, Brazil - earn miles?
Can I earn miles on a North American or European programme on domestic Brazilian flights with VASP?

I know that Varig are *A and TAM are linked with AA. How about VASP?

As far as I know VASP has no FF program and does not have any FF partners.

Last November I flew VASP in country and asked about FF programs for any U.S. carriers and they said no. I didn't ask about their own.

TAM or Varig are much better and I'd spend more $ but some routes require VASP.

I haven't flown VASP (or TAM) yet, but it looks as though on one sector I'll have no choice. I am now better informed! Thanks for your help.
