What's the site that pays you if your flight is late?

A coworker said there is a site that pays if your flight is late. I had not heard of this. Do you have the URL?

Thank you

Here's how to make your first million bucks before Xmas ..... book all your flights on United because of this great on-time record lately:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum50/HTML/002109.html

Well, maybe there is a REASON United have not joined??? OR, maybe there is a reason Biztravel have NOT asked them to join morelike! Darn.

Not meaning to rain on everybody's parade, but in the interest of fully sharing information, I have consistently found BizTravel to turn up the most expensive quotes for flights, cars, and hotels among Travelocity, Preview Travel (when it was separate from Travelocity), ITN, and the individual airline sites.

The prices quoted have been higher than upwards of 30% in some cases, and often with less desirable availability than competitors' offerings.

I have booked - and will continue to book, so long as I find competitive prices - on BizTravel, but lately I find myself going to other sites/directly to vendors well before BizTravel, and then using BizTravel as a final validator that the deals found elsewhere are competitive.

Did I mention also that I find BizTravel's interface somewhat awkward and confusing?

That is funny! I agree completely and do the same thing! I *never* trust the rates or fares they give.

Hmmm... This isn't my experience, but I will have to do more testing. I've often run Biztravel, ITN, and DL's system simultaneously to search out the best fares on DL. I do recall at least one time when I found the flights I wanted via Biztravel, then lined them up on DL's site and got a lower price than Biztravel quoted. But in general I've found Biztravel very helpful.

I was just getting ready to start actually booking tickets through Biztravel again now that Dl's online booking bonus is gone. I booked a few flights this week, then realized with disgust that they weren't giving the booking bonus so I want to go through an agent!

He, he Well there has to be SOMETHING to finance their refunds = higher fares in the first instance it seems! There is no such thing as a free lunch!

Steffo:

You're in a Catch-22 (or whatever the term should be):

I've very often found DL's fares to be higher than other carriers' to the destinations I go, and Biztravel, as I said earlier, quotes high as well.

So it's no wonder you don't see too much of a difference between delta-air.com and biztravel!

I've used Biz Travel from almost their first day.. used to find great deals.. but you are correct - now I check other sites first and they are consistently coming in higher.. much higher.. So what you're paying for now is flight insurance - and at a high premium to boot!

As for that Guarantee, when I fly, I mean to get to where I need to be, and on time.

So I can't really afford to play "Air-Lotto," let alone to pay extra to subsidize those wishing to.

As I alluded when this Guarantee first came out, I'd be spitting piss and vinegar if I were an investor in BizTravel.

From a business point of view, betting millions (or however much is being diverted from tried-and-true traditional marketing modes) on airline reliability - yes, airline! - to attract more customers is really an ironic premise, one for which I would generously spank the frontal (and gluteal) lobes of the manager who came up with that one.
