Problem with E-Trade 25,000 mile UAL bonus

I signed up for the UAL/Etrade 25K bonus when the web site read "To be eligible, account holders must maintain minimum funding in all Etrade accounts ($1,000 for cash accounts, $2,000 for margin accounts) ... for six months. I interpreted this to mean send in the $50k to open the account and then withdrawals were allowed.

However, now the web site reads: "To be eligible, account holders must maintain minimum opening funding in all E*TRADE accounts, including funding levels associated with special promotions, for at least six months (less market losses, if any)."

Anyone with experience on this? Have you opened the account, withdrawn funds and still received the 25K mile bonus???

I haven't withdrawn my funds, but I do know that they deposited the miles in my account after 4 to 6 weeks. I'm not sure how feasible it would be for them to get the miles back if I were to withdraw the funds now, especially if I were to claim an award.
