"beat the system" tip 18: how to fill out Landing Cards
a) Normally there is only one card per family required
b) Print in easy-to-read block letters
c) Keep everything simple and definite
c1) give only the first place you will stay (if you don't have a place yet, give the name of an airport-hotel - if asked, say, that you did INTEND to stay there
c2) place of birth: just put the country (in some non-western-countries they might otherwise start searching in their manuals).
c3) occupation: don't say Professor of Applied Mathematics", say "teacher", not "Real Estate Agent" say "Salesman".
d) look for day/month/year of month/day/year convention
e) first-name = Christian, given, proper name; Last-name = family or patronymic or surname.
f) form with carbon copies: make sure all copies are legible.
