Flyer Talk Conference in Hong Kong

Some of us simply cannot wait for the Hawaii gathering this fall. As a result, tedhl and I are arranging a FlyerTalk conference on January 16 at noon in the Vong Bar here in Hong Kong.

Everyone is welcome to join us!

(From the US it is only 60,000 UA miles round trip in coach or $475 plus 50,000 miles business class round trip)

Sorry I can't make it to your overseas Flyer Talk conference, although I love Hong Kong and would go if I could.

1. No related business to my company.
2. (OMNI posting It will be a busy day for me in the states: a christening for my friend's daughter in the morning, then a birthday party for my friend Clair who five years ago introduced me to the wonderful world of cats by giving her YAZ and CLEO (now in kitty heaven) so she can marry Richie (who was very allergic.)

Thus: the makings for the birth of CATMAN in April of last year on FlyerTalk!

Enjoy the conference and let us know what you've discussed. CATMAN

We will certainly post a detailed report of the conference under the appropriate forum. As we are meeting in a bar at noon the report might have to wait until the next day!

Rudi:
I look forward to welcoming you to Hong Kong in November. Why did you select the Ritz? It is a beautiful hotel of course, but I am partial to the Mandarin.

it's my 2nd visit to the Ritz (at the Mandarin I may take an afternoon-tea - as at the Peninsula after the short Star Ferry ride).

This Ritz is LHW-member (Leading Hotels of the World), and as a "Leaders-Club" - member they upgrade me (on any discounted rate) to a Suite, plus the "usual" vouchers for a drink at the bar and a discount at their very good italian Restaurant (but in HKG I prefer to have chinese-specialities and so does Gisela). This time I pay HKD 1'650/night. (This is one of the Ritz that does not grant Marriott miles/points).
