Thailand Hotel deals
I would appreciate any info on how to obtain one of those fantastic deals for a stay in Bangkok from sept 14-sept28.

There are (till end of sep) a lot of extremely low-priced summer-offers.
On the price high-end something very extravagant: 3 nights-packe at the (world-famous) Oriental, including transportation to/from airport, dinner/thai-show (the best restaurant and the best show in Thailand at the river, take the hotel-boat), a day long cruise, full breakfast for a total of US$600 for two = $100/night/person. A terrific experience.

I've been looking at the same issue. If you already have plane tickets, to get deals on hotel rooms try booking through a Thai travel agency or hotel consolidator on the Web. These seem to have big discounts, although I have no idea whether they are as big as if you faxed the hotel directly. Try planetholiday.com, diethelm-travel.com, asiatravel.com, and sawadee.com. Let me know if you find any other similar sites; I'd appreciate it.
