MyPoints flush with cash as completes 4 million share 2ndary offering

SAN FRANCISCO, 2/24/PRNewswire/ MyPoints.com announced the public offering of 4 million shares of its Common Stock at a price of $45.875 per share, for a total offering size of $183.5 million, including more than $105 million for the Company before underwriting fees and expenses.

Of the 4 million shares offered in the secondary, 2.3 million were offered by the Company and 1.7 million were offered by selling stockholders. In addition, the company and selling stockholders have granted the underwriters an option to purchase an additional 600,000 shares to cover over-allotments, if any. If this option is exercised, the company will sell an additional 150,000 shares. MyPoints.com will not receive any proceeds from the sale of the Common Stock offered by the selling stockholders.

For anyone not yet signed up, if you want some FREE points and possibly a little potential aggravation or you just want to see what were talking about, go to www.mypoints.com and you start off with 150 free points just for signup. They also have a referral program which gives about 100 points per signup (my username: markwatson if you want to use it).

BTW there is also a link I'd noted and recommend you use for an additional FREE $10 Gift Cert at giftcertificates.com just for signup (even if you never use it!), if you use the link I previously provided at:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/002244.html

The referral name of choice may still be entered (markwatson) and you will still get the extra 150 points for signup using it!

It continues to amaze me that mypoints appears to be doing well in the stock market, since their customer service is horrible.

I think its that marketing with these e-commerce firms is so much of just getting the name of your newco out there- and Mypoints does do that!

And all investments, of course are not necessarily wise investments. But they DO make money!
