Air Canada Reaches Agreement with ILFC on Restructured Aircraft Leases

Read the yahoo press release here.

The one 340-313 is fin # 981, C-FTNQ, msn # 088. It was originally scheduled to be returned to ILFC by Oct 2003. (According to Peter Ivakitsch.)

I don't know which two fins are the 767-300s.

The 320-211/214s are fins 235, 236 & 237.

The 319-212s are fins 286, 287, 288, 290, 292 and 295.

Yes.

Fin 981 and 982 are oddball aircraft in the AC fleet due to their shorter range than the others. I believe there are other differences in the aircraft but only a pilot or mechanic could tell the difference. These aircraft have always been on short-term lease and AC was going to get rid of them.

I thought tha BWIA was oging to take both aircraft a while back, but the lease was never taken up on the second one.

BWIA is having a hard time paying for the first one. It was almost repossessed by ILFC last month. It was only when the Gov't of T&T stepped in and guaranteed the lease payments for a few months that they backed off. ILFC had actually already taken 2 or 3 of BWIA's 737's in MIA.
