Up to 30,000 AC miles on Rapid air

I saw the post about the 12 segs for 15,000 pts until March, but I just saw on the AC website that you can get another 15,000 or 30,000 total if those segs are on the YYZ-YUL-YOW triangle. Flights must be in fare classes J-T. Maybe a response to Jetsgo.

Oh, this is cool.

Here're the details:

Earn up to an additional 15,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles on Rapidair

Plus, you can combine this offer with our new Rapidair promotion and earn up to 30,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles in total more than enough for a long-haul flight in Hospitality Service within North America!

If you travel with Air Canada or Air Canada Jazz on Rapidair flights between Toronto and Montral or Toronto and Ottawa in J, C, Y, M, or T booking class between January 21 and March 31, 2003, here's what you'll earn:

5 segments for 3K
7 segments for another 4K
12 segments for another 8K

Note the different start and end date for this promotion compared to the initial one.

Actually this is confusing. At one point AC says the up to 15K is eligible for all booking classes on a system wide basis, then on the 15K Rapidair promotion, it says certain fares only J down to T. The system wide promotion (all fares) has no note excluding YYZ-YOW/YUL. What gives?

Look at this as 2 seperate promotions.

The first one will give you up to 15K miles on 12 segments on all revenue booking classes on all AC operated routes.

The second one will give you up to 15K miles on 12 segments on those selected booking classes on YYZ-YUL & YYZ-YOW.

Once AC has forced Jetsgo off these routes, do you think these promtions (and the reduced fares) will continue. Then it will be back to gouging.

Doesn't it stike you as pathetic that AC does this only to force a competitor off a route. How about coming up with a proactive strategy guys, rather than just crush competitors and then gouge customers.

Maybe this is AC's idea of proactive, because Jetsgo hasn't started flying the route yet!
