Diner's MLL/AC vs Diner's Reward Club

I've posted a thread on DC forum with no response, so hopefully I'll have more luck here!

I'm thinking about switching from Diner's MLL/ AC and get the points into Diner's Reward Club, as I don't want to keep collecting miles in a program (AP) that no longer believe in. Therefore I have few questions ?

1. If I switch, am I gonna lose MLL access? I love Diner's MLL card, as being a SuperLowClass flyer with AC, I can still enjoy the MLL access

2. If I start collecting Reward Points, as a Canadian, am I entitled to benefit to these great exchange rate the US program promote from time to time (i.e. 1 Reward points for 2 miles in several airlines program)

3. Did anybody calculate the value of a Reward point VS a AP mile? What would you say is the best value?

Looking forward to read your inputs!

I don't believe you can get this card as a Canadian resident. You must have a US or other non-Canadian address. And you will definitely lose ML privileges as this goes only with the very specific MLL credit card, and not with the normal Diners charge and credit card versions offered in this country and in the US. You'd have to buy a separate ML membership.

You CAN get Club Rewards on Canadian DinersClub card. Look at the following link from the Canadian website:

(link edited to save screen space, please see the message below)

I am not sure if the above will work, if not, choose "Club Reward" under the Canadian site.

Thanks for posting that! The link works well over at DC, but it's forcing the screen extra-wide in FT.

Here's a shorter version http://makeashorterlink.com/?A22823991

(If MoreMiles would edit his post, it will let the FT screen wrap again)

According to the site you can get a MLL card on reward club membership;but remember you will pay the full $375 for the card(vs $275 if you register as an aeroplan member) and the points redemption for hotels are very high it appears, well over 15,000 points for one night at an average Delta hotel vs a short haul trip on AC for the same amount of points.
Of course you have to be able to get the seat on AC which is like climbing MT.Everest these days, at least domestically.

I was trying to get the same card in US dollars---no dice.
