InsideFlyer free? (after points)
I just got this offer (as did you all, I'm sure). It looks to me like at U$0.02 per airline point, the package is effectively free, which is a decent deal.
Subscription costs U$60, nets 2500 Starpoints. One Starpoint is worth 1.25 airline points (if you take the 20K->25K transfer) so that's 3125 airline points or U$62.50 worth of points. Not bad, especially if you can impress your friends by giving them subscriptions (or make the points worth more than 2c).
And the offer is open to non-US addresses. However I am very disappointed in the following, I expect better from FlyerTalk:
So those of us in Canada have "U.S. addresses"?

I took advantage of an InsideFlyer offer in the fall, but I remember paying less than $60..I think it was around USD$35 or so. I know it wasn't $60 because I wouldn't have subscribed at that rate. Although I got around 1,400 Starpoints instead of 2,500. I subscribed because it seemed like a cheap way to get 1,400 Starpoints and I needed them to have enough for a free night at the Prince de Galles in Paris. I have the magazine sent to my PO Box in the U.S. I find the content in the magazine to be a little "outdated" by the time it arrives in my mailbox.

This makes me a little displeased. I signed up for a subscription in December, and only received my 1st issue LAST WEEK...it was the January issue. I'd say, a bit outdated.
There's no mention of anything about CO or Starwood points for current subscribers is there? I feel kind of ripped off.

There's a thread in Starwood that has Randy responding to some of these issues.

Andrew, why are you disappointed? You'll be getting the maximum annual issues even with a Canadian address.

I'm short by 4000 points on US Airways for a 25K award. Do you think it would be worth it for me to use that offer 2X to bridge the gap? 4000 points for 120S US (180$CAN) looks like a good deal to me, but some of you may know better..
Looking forward to read your inputs.

I am thinking of going for the sub as I want more SPG pts, however, I am so disappointed with SPG in general. Most of my stays are in Canada, and we earn so few pts after US$ conversion. So I now opt for the pts instead of a free movie, popcorn options as a Plat member, and book on line for the extra pts too. In short, those paying in non US bucks just dont earn that many pts per stay. It is certainly not the program that Westin Premier used to be.
