Rupert Duchesne to appear on FlyerTalk Live! on Feb. 7th
While I don't get to spend as much time in this forum as I would like, I think you've seen me comment that I have always appreciated your time and support of FlyerTalk and in particular, this forum. Well, you've all been a little concerned about Aeroplan - so I have arranged for you to be able to chat live with Rupert Duchesne, the Chairman of Air Canada Aeroplan on Thursday Feburary 7th at 8 pm EST. It wasn't easy given the current climate and I only ask that you respect his time. You may not hear what you want, but this is his only live appearance to members and it's here on FlyerTalk - right in the middle of a lot of concern. That takes guts (i can't get Continental right now to come up live). Look for more on this on 1/30 as i get this posted for you to ask questions, etc.
Again, thanks for your support of FlyerTalk and I look forward to dropping in from time to time as things permit.

Thank you Randy !
I promise to be polite and courteous to Mr. Duchesne, although I hope he is also polite and forthcoming.
Thank you Mr. Duchesne for having the courage to step out and talk directly with the flyers of your airline.

I'm impressed. Well done Randy & qudos to Rupert for availing himself of the opportunity to speak to some of Air Canada's most frequent flyers
First a suggestion for Rupert:
Then the question
First a suggestion for Rupert:
- Create the [email protected] service we've been talking about on this board -- it could go a long way to improve the flow of communication
Then the question
- Which of the 2002 SE/E/P changes have been reconsidered

Thanks a million Randy.
Rest assured that we are all committed to building a sucessful AC that meets the needs of its loyal frequent flyers and the imperatives of a changing airline business. We only ask to have a voice and be really heard.

I certainly hope that Mr. Duchesne turns out to be the customer oriented champion that we BADLY need in Air Canada right now.
Let's arm him with the information that he needs to convince us to get back on the AC bandwagon again.
Politely, of course!

I also look forward to hearing what news Rupert Duchesne has for the Elites. For all of my negative comments, I still want to support a Canadian carrier. Lets hope that he brings good news!
Thanks Randy for lining this opportunity up!

Five bucks -- I mean an MML coffee, a beer, two newspapers and a magazine of your choice - says there'll be some "good news" on the Tues or Wed beforehand for Robert to spin up for the Es and SEs.
