MHD - Are there similar good values via Carribean or via Hawaii or via South America

Can get similar special rates without going to Mexico, but instead going to at least 1 of the destinations mentioned in the subject title?

I recall reading on this board a while back that there are some low-cost business class fares via BDA. I've never actually researched it myself, so perhaps someone can verify this.

Hawaii has always been a bargain. YYZ-HNL in business class in the $2500 to $3500 range. I'm pretty sure you can include a stopover at a west coast city.

Many Caribbean destinations are cheaper than MIA and allow stopovers there. But nothing beats Mexico.

You can do some via Costa Rica and Bermuda but the restrictions, cost or availability of flights are all deterrents.

The MHD is the best value bar none and has availability across many carriers to many destinations with generally a choice of several flights per day.

e.g. YYC-SJO is $2300 in J and allows routings via YYZ. I can do the same thing via MEX for $1700 or PVR for $1300 in J, with more available flights per day.

YYC-BDA is $2400 in J.

I actually have to go to CUN tomorrow and was able to save quite a bit by listening to you people. Even at short notice I was able to get the J fare down to 1643cdn round trip.

No time to stop in Eastern Canada, so it does not qualify for an MHD!!!!
