Partner mileage posting
Does anyone else have problems with delays in posting car rentals and hotel stays on Aeroplan? I still have Avis and Budget rentals from February and March which have not posted (or programmed into the automated phone account system), not to mention April and this month. Having done my quarterly GST filing, I photocopied and mailed copies of all these first quarter rentals to AC, but I really should not have to do this. There also is a long delay in posting Hilton stays, which is not the case on AA.
I always found partner postings to be a problem with AC, though my Diners/enRoute points post before my monthly statement from Diners arrives. Is it the slowness on the part of the partner, or just AC's ability to process them?
(Please this is not to be taken as another "bash AC" posting! Just want to know others' experience in this regard.)

No, fair call.
I find AC's own miles and Aerogold/DC miles come very quickly.
UA miles either come fast, or come not at all.
Hilton miles aren't bad--but they are a little unpredictable.
But invariably Avis/Budget miles are slow to post.
Since we are only dealing with 500 non-Q miles a pop, I have never really gotten wound up about it.

Actually, AC has been pretty good on the postings but it varies from location to location of the partners. The problem is on the Fastbreak etc., it is not always in the profile so you have to check. I was also told to make sure it was entered when your returned the car--a lot of trouble for so few points. AC also told me it is faster to go after the partner than Aeroplan if you really want your points posted. I think it is AC's job but I have resorted to faxing info to the partner on protracted occasions.
Budget in Ottawa was bad last fall (as they had screwed up my profile at Fastbreak) but other Budget locations and more recent transactions have posted quickly. Despite assurances from Budget last fall, the fall transactions did not post until recently. Avis and Hertz have been good as has Holiday Inn.
I had lots of trouble with Thrifty (took more than a year for some transactions) and CP but this seems to have been fixed with automated processing. Alamo and CP has been hit and miss but always fixed sooner or later.
