Toronto-London Earns Free Ticket (Beware the fine print!)
Fly Air Canada return to London, England between October 16 and December 10, 1999 in Executive First or full fare Hospitality Service, and you could earn enough Aeroplan miles for a free reward ticket on Air Canada within North America.
Applies to eligible Air Canada direct transatlantic return flights purchased and flown in the same booking class in either Executive First (J fare) or full fare Hospitality Service (Y fare), between October 16 and December 10, 1999. Mileage earned on upgrades from Y fare to Executive First (C fare) applies as per Y fare offer
. Return flights in J earn enough miles (total = base + all bonus miles) earn 25K miles. Return flights in Y/C (total = base + all bonus miles) earn 15K miles.
This is not that great--you would get 8K miles in Y anyway (or for a discount ticket). That means you are only getting double miles for a Y ticket (about 7K miles). The J is a bit better as you earn 15K extra miles (25K compared to normal 10K) but does not apply to upgraded tickets. I presume we will get miles on top of miles for the fall bonus promo (i.e a J class one-way ticket will net 4K base plus 1K class bonus plus 1K fall promo bonus plus 7.5K special bonus = 13.5K each way), but then again, maybe they have this all factored in to their 25K.

I actually think this applies to all direct transatlantic, not just Toronto, so it would be of less value from Vancouver compared to from Montreal or Toronto. The best deal would be from St. John's!

e-mail from AC: This offer is not in addition to any other existing promotions. Only open to Canadian residents.
They clarified: For every Air Canada return flight you take in Executive First(J fare) or Hospitality Service(full Y fare) from Canada to London, England during the promotional period, you'll automatically earn your regular Qualifying miles plus 50% of the base mileage you fly in Hospitality Service and 100% of the base mileage you fly in Executive First. (that's just the fall promo with a better twist)
Here is some more good stuff.
- In addition, you'll also receive 15,000 Aeroplan Bonus Miles when flying in Executive First (J fare) and;
- 10,000 Aeroplan Bonus Miles when flying in Hospitality Service (full Y fare).
