FlyerTalk Clock-OMNI

Why is the FlyerTalk Clock always 5-6 minutes ahead of the "real" clock time? It is just something that has been bugging me for a long time.

I wish the software allowed you to adjust it to your local time. Yes, I too have noticed that their Moutain Time clock runs fast.

Maybe it's fast because things download faster in Denver then New York City (NEW YORK CITY???!!!??) There's more open space and the air is cleaner (and isn't it the MIle High city so it's closer to the satellite!)

The US Governments Atomic Clock is located in Colorado. MAybe their offices are a wee bit too close to all that radiation....

Catman should revist his memory. He has forgotten that a "New York second" is way faster than a "Mile High" second. Plus, Denver is right around the corner from the infamous "Atomic Clock". Now, of course, down here in TEXAS, we measure distances in time. Houston to Dallas-3 1/2 to 4 hours, Houston to Austin-3 hours, so FlyerTalk, being just a few minutes from the "Atomic Clock", should have the correct time. So, with the above in mind, it is reasonable that we get "60 Minutes" on Monday night.

So, that's where the "Theory of Relativity" came from. The SWISS do have the best timepieces in the world.

The important thing is that Flyertalk is always up and running for us to post our tips and comments and humour.

TIMELY OMNI ENTRY: I don't remember what a New York second is like. Remember, I live in the greatest state in the world... where a Jerzee second equals about 1.5 hours (turnpike, finding a parking space at the malls, riding teh commuter railroads, etc.)

But there's a lot of radioactivity in NJ so I'm surprised things don't work faster! CATMAN

I seem to have forgotten that "jerzee" is the the greatest state. Please do not mention "jerzee" when you visit the "Free and Great State of TEXAS" during the holidays, else you know what happpens to your passport and what I have instructed the Border Patrol to do.
