Here's how it works, according to the rules:
Interesting that they only value it worth $2160!!!
Grand Prize Winner must be able to travel on dates provided by United Airlines - Thursday, September 5 - Saturday, September 7, 2002. One winner will be flown with a guest to NYC. On 9/6/02, he/she will be given 5 tennis balls to hit/serve across the net on center court to a painted United tarp on the other side. He/she will accumulate the miles for the numbers that the balls he/she hits land on. Theoretically, winner could accumulate 500,000 miles, if all 5 balls land in the 100,000 mile circle. If he/she hits the United tulip logo top/center of the tarp, he/she will collect one million miles (and forego any accumulated miles from the balls previously hit). Maximum miles awarded: one million. Total Approximate Retail Value US Dollars $2160.00
