ANC back to normal!!

Sorry, not mileage related.

Finally, the north-south runway is fixed. It's been quiet the last few days but here is the Anchorage Daily News story:

It was tough for my clients nearer the airport. You couldn't hear a phone conversation every time a plane went over! They flew over my apartment but I like the sound of planes and rarely watch TV.

Don't worry, its very AS and AK related, and really, on this forum we are a pretty nice gr00p and forgive semi-off topic posts such as how the sorry M's are swimming in their own toilets (guised conveniently in an "I'm glad I'm not flying OAK/SEA" setting)

I know that most of Anchorage is pleased by the "return to normal" but I, for one, miss seeing the Northern Air Cargo DC-6's rumbling across the sky.

Yes, I'll miss seeing all the Korean Air planes miss landings. Just kidding but I'll miss seeing the flights outside my office window. I can still see them but very far off.

I do know that it disrupted a lot of businesses though that did not have such well insulated buildings.
