Valid routing for ZQN-AKL
Just wondering if ZQN-xSYD-AKL is a valid routing for a domestic award ticket AKL-ZQN-AKL, ie transit through SYD instead of CHC 
In my case, I am getting the award ticket through UA MP, but just wondering if an NZ Airpoints member requested the routing ZQN-xSYD-AKL (with same day transit through SYD), would it be allowed ?

Actually due to a schedule change, I am now rerouted ZQN-CHC-AKL instead of the non-stop ZQN-AKL. Well, this means I will get a snack on ZQN-CHC and dinner on CHC-AKL
