PHL - CDG - AMS Connection in CDG : How big a hastle?
So I've been reading for weeks on the DL and AF boards that CDG and AF are terrible and should be avoided.
I've heard about poor internal transportation and terrible backage service along with lack of service.
So, I'm traveling with a single carry on back-pack and a big smile.
What am I in store for? Will it be difficult to get transportation for my connection? I hope since it's an AF to AF connection it will be in the same terminal. Is this true?
PHL (379) CDG (1240) AMS
Any tips?

Hmm, I've never had a problem with AF or CDG and I pass through there pretty regularly on various airlines.
Anyhow, yes thanks to Shengen you only clear customs once at CDG and that is usually a breeze. The last few times they haven't even looked at me, I just walk through.
You can look at the AF or ATP websites to see where your gates will likely be. But it's all in T2. Much of T2 is clustered together, but 2F is kinda far to walk. They do have regular buses within security if you do have to go to 2F.
On your way back out, be sure to hit the duty free shops for good prices on Champagne, cigars, etc.
