Original code-share routes covers AC's YYZ-LHR and SQ's LHR-SIN.
I thought this was cancelled when it wasn't appear on AC's pdf schedule.
New code-share route covers:
AC YUL-FRA/YUL-LHR/YVR-HKG
SQ HKG-SIN/FRA-SIN/HKG-SFO
Not sure why SQ's Press Release mentioning AC flying 74E on YVR-HKG.

The 74E in the article refers to YYZ/FRA & YUL/FRA and the A319 refers to YVR/SFO.

What on earth for???
I just got an email from a friend who flew to Bangkok on AC award points combining AC, SQ and TG flights...in Business Class.
And well, he emailed me begging to fly back to Canada on SQ instead of AC.
Sorry.. I told him. Maybe next time.

I thought that the idea of an alliance was seamless integration between carriers. That being said, what is the point of adding codeshares to these flights if the carriers booking engines are already programmed to show other star carriers? As the alliances grow, it's starting to get quite ridiculous. For instance, when US joins star they will be the only carrier to fly from Spain to North America. They already have US/JK/UA codes on the flights. No doubt AC will add theirs as well and possibly some of the other star carriers too. This clutters up airport information screens, prolongs boarding announcements, etc, etc.
Perhaps the solution is to have an alliance-wide code and have the operating carrier's name displayed along side that eg ST@1022 Operated by Air Canada.

Unless they introduce 5-digit Flight number (eg: AC10026), I don't think existing 4-digit flight number from 0001 to 9999 would accomodate all Star Alliance or other alliance's flight.
