More info about reduced qualifications levels for 2004 benefit year

The number of segments required to qualify for 2004 top tier status has also been reduced.

Super Elite: 85,000 status miles or 125 segments
Elite: 30,000 status miles or 50 segments
Prestige: 15,000 status miles or 25 segments.

Those who qualifed under the above scheme will have their status updated on Jan 7, 2004. Your letter will be sent out shortly after that.

P.S. When Rupert said during the chat that segments required to qualify for Prestige was reduced to 25, it referred to the 2004 benefit year (flying during 2003); NOT 2005 benefit year (flying during 2004). So you still need 30 segments to qualify for Prestige 2005.

Hope this clears up any questions that some of you had.
