Don't you just love the news-reel that the government make AC play just before the aircraft arrives. Threatening that 'It is under the authority of the Canada health act' or some other such drivel.

Today the Health Canada Nazi at YVR was yelling at everyone to 'unfold the white form' so that they did not have to do it??? Arriving into Canada is such a treat now.
1. Someone at the aircraft door to ensure that another announcement is made about the forms.
2. Then a couple of Customs guys in bullet-proof vests to check that everyone has a passport.
3. Then the kids yelling at you to have the white forms ready.
...and you have only just got into the building!!!

I was wondering what the fine or jail time would be if you refused to co-operate??? It might be worth it.

I had the yellow form three weeks ago coming from MUC to YYZ. Nobody collected it from me. I kept asking: immigration, customs. Nobody seemed to want it.

I thought that firearms weren't allowed on board? They trying to hurt the fists of people who may attempt to punch them to make them shut up?

You should see how they sometimes have 10++ of them patrolling the baggage claim of those Asia flights. They would then give people secondary questioning on the spot. Sure way to make people feel welcomed.

That happened at YVR to me as well. I asked the immigration guy when they were going to phase these out and his curt reply was "When they run out of yellow paper". Alrighty then.

I was on a SEA-YVR hop by the way.

Last night's ORD-YYZ had an abundance of yellow forms and no customs forms, go figure. Lots of squiggling pens in the immigration hall.
