October statements and Nov/Dec YOU arriving
Just received my October 12th statement mailing which contains the latest issue of YOU, the Aeroplan newsletter. Some highlights:
• every Aeroplan partner transaction between November 5th and January 31st gives an entry into a draw for 10 "action" prize trips [heli-picnic in BC, Calgary Stampede, VIP seats at the US Tennis Open, race car lessons, Fashion Week in NYC...]
• Double ADVANTEX miles when charging to the AeroGold VISA
• points bonuses on LOT from October 26th through December 15th
Upgrade certificates are still 2003. As EMPRESS noted the other day, the December mailing containing our November statements should contain the new 2004 certificates, so another 30-days to await confirmation of changes in this regard..
Also a promotional sticker for the FUTURE SHOP "toaster" redemptions.

I got mine a week ago and I annoyed that the Future Shop ad thingy wouldn't come off. Other than that the YOU didn't get me very excited.

I managed to peel the sticker off mine. It was only glued at three very small spots and little damage was done to my statement.

No statement yet. So not toasters for me from Future Shop!! I did get my wife's statement with the newsletter but didn't seem to find anything exciting in it. Maybe the January ones will be full of exciting offers!!!
