2.3c/mile?

Nope.

Not to sound like a broken record, but why does AC perpetually announce their promotions late or without little notice to their members? Most people would plan trips to Europe weeks or months in advance - not with 24 hours notice. Very odd.

It's another lottery, they expect we'll buy tickets in the hope of getting bonus miles.

Like Future Shop, where you get 30-day price protection as an inducement to buy NOW -- I won that lottery once for $5, then missed out on $20 at 32 days and $25 at 37 days.

How's this for odd: they are so looking to end the year on a positive note they have reintroduced TA commissions on transborder routes for November. The notice came out yesterday and the 'special' booking period was effective 4-30 November.

Too funny. I'd imagine that TA's are eager to recommend AC whenever possible.

sighs sadly.... Guess I will miss out on this deal, having left on Oct. 30 YVR--LHR.

Would have been nice if AC had given some leadup to this... I could have easily gone a few days later.

But promotions are not intended to be announced before they start, are they?

Then you wouldn't have gotten the comp upgrade because flights few days later weren't that full. Which would you take?
