OT: Saskatoon Hotel Help
I was scheduled to fly YYZ-YVR last night and I'm sure everyone knows what happened.
Anyway, after spending 4 hours trying to call AC this morning at the airport, finally got through and the friendly agent booked me and my brother for tomorrow night AC1121 YYZ-YXE and Sunday morning YXE-YVR on Zip. I need to find a hotel for the night, not too far from the airport and not too expensive (upper bound $100). Help please?

I've only been there twice. Stayed at the Delta (downtown) and Best Western airport.
If I recall correctly, all those airport hotels are pretty close together and a short ride from the airport. I would just pick one that is cheaper and make sure they have a shuttle to/from the airport.

The Howard Johnson actually is the cheapest ($55). Anyone knows how far is it from the airport? I'll look into Best Western's rate. Delta's rate is a little too expensive right now. Thanks Empress.

Try the Country Inn and Suites. It is a $3.50 cab ride from the airport. All rooms have a VCR and you get free current movies. comp breakfast. Food and bars are a two minute walk.
Suite should be around $79.00.
Or Try:
Best Weastern, Travelodge, Comfort inns all are close to the airport. When you arrive at the terminal all the hotels are listed and have a direct phone link. If price is your concern then book anything and call around for the best deal when you get to the Airport.

Saskatoon Inn is the one that's absolutely closest to the airport. Its a nice place, but definitely not near any of the 'attractions' Saskatoon has to offer such as downtown or the University. For parnel's benefit, I believe its one of the only major hotels in Saskatoon not unionized.
The Delta Bessborough is probably the most spectacular hotel, on the riverbank. The Sheraton is downtown about a block away from the Bessborough, and its a nice hotel as well (for parnel's benefit -- partially unionized).
The Raddison is a bit further away from the immediate downtown core and the University, but still pretty close. Physically its pretty nice, but my experience has been that the service is poor.
So yes, as indicated here, you really can't go seriously wrong as long as you avoid the "hotels" on 20th street. Yes the Barry Hotel might charge $5 per night, but its not a nice part of town to be in after dark at all.
